Blouse with Discoloured Areas (pdf ) (417kb)
The discoloured areas on this blouse, which appear to be fading, have actually been caused by the application of heat on the fabric surface which has caused melting and re-hardening of the red coloured nylon component of the fibre content. The damage has almost certainly been caused the inappropriate or incorrect application of a hand iron.
